found some info from oddjob over at aoc he said
""Yeah calipers are the same as all the Mk5s. Same as the Mk4 Lucas type except the carrier is slightly different and the handbrake mech has a small extra piece.""

i still have the option to use the carriers from my calipers and the handbrake mech arm but will have to break out the nickle plating kit the make them shiney :)
here today are
new set of GM flat blade wipers
new set of rear discs and new pads
picked up a new brake pipe spanner and an automatic brake line bleeder

im waitng for pay day then to get some new shocks got to jack it all up again at the weekend the one wheel is catching the arch on uneven ground so looks like the beam needs relocating

Mmhhh why u paint the rear brake disc ??
Are you suppose not paint the disc but just the hub ??
can you tell me what diffrence it will make once the pads are installed???
but if you just paint the hub is the outer edge not covered ???

im sure im not going to be masking out a 1" ring around the disc when i can just let the pads wear the paint off in 8 seconds :)

Yeah suppose not to paint the disc so pad proby won't brake right cos of the paint on the disc so it should be paint a inch outside the hub not the full disc

So I advice not to fit that mate it not safe

Yeah suppose not to paint the disc so pad will wear it but it are a while and proby won't brake right cos of the paint on the disc so it should be paint a inch outside the hub not the full disc
i do know what you mean but the paint wont affect the pads once its dry the pads will just score it off the surface of the disc leaving every where the pads dont touch still covered in paint (what i wanted)
they were sprayed from a gun not a can bit hard to paint a 4mm line with a spray gun
just keep watching this thread you will see what im doing soon enough :)

Phew at least it wasn't a tinfoil paint but rattle cans mmmhh lol
i find the metallic paint is porous and rusts thru very quickly
this was hammerite paint painted thru a spray gun @ 45 psi
its not that good with heat but it had a great rustproofing action
