That was kind of my issue but this entire time I've been trying to use an abs unit that doesn't support esp which seems to be why it won't work properly. After looking through tis and various other places I think I could of got the speedo working but the tc light would still be on due to the esp.
the esp needs the steering angle setting to zero also if its off you get a lamp on

Cheers guys.
What I'll do then is put my final drive in that gearbox as it's only done 35k so I'd like to use it all together and I've had 140mph out of my van which isn't something I do alot well I've done it once lol and it's doing 37mpg daily so I'm happy with the standard box tbh

Can that be done with opcom? My dad said the same thing but I've not tried anything atm.
I've been told there's a pin on the abs computer that's prone to bending or not sitting right also but I haven't looked at that either yet lol

If I'm honest it's quicker than its ever been with all the aids switched off even with abit of wheelspin it pulls away quicker than if the tc comes in and now the speed signal is all okay I have no idling or low rev issues so right now it's the best it's ever been.
This engine is started to show its age though. It uses abit of oil and if it's idling for a while then I give it some beans I get a puff of smoke but it's not bad for 95k

yes i think it can but i dont have esp so dont hold me to that sure it needs matching to a straight wheel with the tracking right
the pins inside the abs ecu plug are laser welded if they break then it might as well be scrap and the fix it cost outweighs the replace cost

i still to this day have never turned my t/c off :) gotta love mechanical traction control :)
the clutch switch is also a big part of shat running at low rpm i put a new one on and fixed a few stumbles at low rpm and rolling to a stop
if its black smoke dont worry thats just blowing the fuel soot out the pipe :)

i use manual traction control, the ecu for it can be a bit slow some times but i put that down to its age and wear and tear.
deleted clutch switch by running vx software, got rid of a few idle problems that the z22se has always had since its days in the vectra. :)

The standard tc is the first thing I turn off when I want to drive fast. Need to fit a switch to the daily as a quick gear change from first to second and the smallest wheel spin causes it to kick in and makes the car bog down horribly

Yeah I must admit I'd rather have the light on the dash than any of that working. I didn't realise how much is affected it tbh.
I'm wondering if my map has affected my clutch switch as my cruise control doesn't work anymore and I can't seem to see anything on opcom. It's all activating when it should as in clutch switch brake switch and the cc button but it doesn't actually do anything but I'm not massively worried it's just nice sometimes on the way to shows when I don't want to hammer it

i did try and say you dont want esp system lol :)
cruise control is all ecu based on the z22se so if you have the vx map you wont have cc

Tbh I'm not actually sure what map they've put on there but I did talk them about not having ac so they may well of put a vx map on. It's not the end of the world but it quite nice having it lol

they have used a vx220 map on my latest 2.2, and some how its working with the vectra B throttle pedal :confused:
they did say its the most common map to use as it has less extra's so its easier to adjust.
but if you have the astra's cooling pack and module i dont think they use the vx220 map? may be the functions are turned off in the ecu?

I do have the coolant module etc but no aircon.
The cc always used to work but since it being mapped when I go to program variant it won't let me do anything anymore..
I'm guessing it's something to do with the map but I've also messed about with the dash loom so that could of done it I dunno lol..

On a brighter note I picked up a new engine on Saturday :) it's mileage is 34,500.
It's got a Chris tullet manifold and a 2.5in downpipe and 209 cell sports cat to all I have to do it do the chains and fit it all

engine looks good.
i'm binning my tullet out for a Dbilas as soon as i can afford one.
tullet has an awful sound :(

Really? I don't think I've heard one tbh.. shame as it looks good.
My van seems to eat downpipe gaskets for dinner and Courteney advised me to get a decent manifold and 3in system but I'm going with this manifold and a 2.5in system for now.
Aren't the dbilas manifolds cast still?

Dbilas are cast and a lot stronger than the tullet, also they exit at 3" where as tullet are 2.5" unless you have the one for the supercharged engine?
my tullet one bends when hot and blow the gasket on the N/A corsa. supercharged one with Dbilas is fine.
