2 x 512 PC2-4200S

I've got 2 x 512 PC2-4200S sticks of RAM which I removed from an old laptop.

These go for £10 on ebay, so looking for £7 including delivery.

just checked both laptops, and they have got pc2700s ddr 333 c l 2.5 ram......now the question is will the 4200 fit and run at the lower mobospeed...

No mate, it won't work. pc2700 is basically legacy ram, and is bloody expensive.

The stuff I have was replaced with PC2-5300, I don't even think it would physically fit in the slot, despite both having 200 pins

Just been reaiding up myself matt....mine is just ddr and ures will be ddr2....so it wont fit in the board.....
